re:publica 25 will take place from 26-28 May 2025 at STATION Berlin. The motto for next years’ festival for the digital society is “Generation XYZ”. The programme will once again bring the most important topics relating to the internet, its communities and the opportunities and challenges that lie in the digitalization of society to the stages. Join us!

The motto of re:publica 25: Generation X, GenY (millennials) and GenZ, the now 13 to 25-year-olds - re:publica 2025 invites all generations to its table. Because our democratic society is being put to the test and there is a lack of spaces, both online and offline, where generations can meet openly to reassure themselves that there is more that connects us than divides us. That generational differences also offer opportunities to learn from each other if we meet openly.

The age-dependent use of social media platforms and the different communication channels of the generations make it almost impossible for old and young to meet and exchange ideas. Yet it would be so important right now to seek intergenerational solidarity, because Generation XYZ includes those who can still actively ensure that our planet remains a home worth living on for all people and that we continue to live in a democratic society characterized by freedom, humanity and solidarity with one another.

We can and should argue about what divides us, but for re:publica 2025 we are attempting the intergenerational solidarity that we so urgently need right now. Our collective knowledge makes us smarter, our cultural passions more creative, and with united courage we are unbeatable.
