About the Usability Hackathon 13.-15.11.2024
A hackathon is a collaborative workshop where new ideas are developed, problems are solved, or creative approaches are tried out. A Usability Hackathon concentrates on challenges where user understanding and research come first when developing new products and services.
Calling for future pioneers looking to design for a better world and leave a mark on their local community.
We have collected a range of usability challenges from organisations and are looking to better our community by organising a hackathon on 13.-15.11.2025. Students can choose their preferred challenge and sign up for the hackathon weekend. During the weekend there will be professional speakers on various topics and mentors that will be supporting teams with checkpoints, so no specific background knowledge is required. On the contrary, multidisciplinary team structures are encouraged. All participants will be provided with workshop materials, food and drinks during the weekend and there is a possibility to work around the clock if you wish.
After 48h, teams will have the chance to present their solution ideas back to the organisations and push for better user experiences around us. Here, students will also be rewarded with a certificate of participation.
